While preparing for a date, it is essential that you should keep certain things in mind.
In order to assess if the woman is showing interest or not, it can be adjudged through eye contact, simple touches and body language. It is the touch that thrills a man while for a woman it is the sound, touch and smell that arouses her.
If you are going on a date for the first time, you have to make yourself impressive enough by appearance since it is quite obvious that you will be adjudged by the hygienic point of view first. You have to pay nothing just for keeping yourself clean through a refreshing bath and a little effort here and there. If there is bad breath and body odor, it will make an immediate turn off for your partner for she will under the impression that that is the way you are all the time.
Turning up late on your first date is one of the worst things to turn your date an utter failure. You have to be a careful listener rather than asking her questions and you have to make her feel that you are taking a keen interest in what she is saying.
